Scenes from a Visit

Boomstick and Harmony made their third voyage to Las Mananitas, their second with Miss Kitty Lyra in tow. A fabulous time was had by all, beginning with umbrella drinks on the porch:

Then we went to the 4th of July parade in Arroyo Seco:

We drove the High Road to Taos and stopped to see the church at Las Trampas:

The Santa Fe Wine Festival was lots of fun:

Our friend Rebecca joined us there, too:

Our grandkitty, Miss Lyra, loved to lounge on our table:

And, in a scene from another visit, Tia and Tio enjoyed margaritas on our deck:

Lunch in Cerro

Place: Cerro, a small burg of 100+ souls 30 miles north of Taos.
Setting: A back porch looking north to Ute Mountain, with the Sangre de Cristos to the east, home to J. and R. and their menagerie of four dogs, three cats, and two horses.
Menu: Campari and soda, hors d'oeuvres, chicken salad, tiramisu and fresh berries.
Ambiance: Relaxed, laughing, perfect summer afternoon.
